View Key Dates 1 Apr: TheBanker started with a bang! £65 profit – instantly exceeding its monthly target of £50. Sticking with my approach, betting on TheBanker‘s tips now stops.   With only 1 tipster I can now re-adjust the stakes. I’m upping the stakes for Underdog from £2/bet to £4/bet.  This is based on Underdog historically having a High performance April (see the More Profit With Less Effort post) and at £4/bet the daily bet exposure is reduced to 2% of available bank.

2 Apr: Underdog pulls out a £118 profit – massively exceeding the conservative £45 profit. Again sticking with aproach betting on Underdog Racing Tips stops.   Stopping so early in the month might mean I miss some more profit but for me it “a bird in the hand” scenario. I anticipated a total profit for the month of £90 and within 2 days got £183. Also not betting for the rest of the month will keep me under bookies radar so I’m happy to take a break and I miss future profits then so be it. Bank started at £126 and now stands at £309. (£126+£183)

12Mar: Underdog Racing Tips has exceeded its target and posted a £47 profit – betting stops on Underdog tips. TheBanker has not reached profit target yet so betting will continue. With March being a good month historically for TheBanker I’m transferring half of Underdog’s stakes to TheBanker – stakes will be £1.50/bet.

17Mar: TheBanker has now also reached profit target so betting stops entirely for the rest of the month. March profit = £74.

18Mar: Underdog Racing Tips just hit a massive day profit that I missed out on – but I have to accept that and move on – the decision to stop betting was taken for all the right reasons at the time.   EOM: By stopping betting I missed out substantially on Underdog’s great 1702 units profit – but I stand by my approach. I’m now back into profit and starting again.

For April: Historically Thebanker has a medium performance March but it performed poorly this March so I anticipate a rebound in April which is another medium performance month. Underdog, historically, has a High performance April (check out the analysis in the More Profit With Less Effort post) Stakes based on available bank and limited to a maximum total of 10% bet daily will be £2/bet for Underdog (avg. 3 tips/day) and £6.50/bet for TheBanker (avg.1 tip/day). Target profits: Underdog = £45  TheBanker = £50  Total = £95

View Key Dates As you can see in my post Personal Portfolio Evolution More Profit WIth Less Effort February has been historically a bad month for TheBanker but a good month for Underdog – and so it turned out again.   Underdog was up and down all month but managed to break target profit on 23rd Feb with £24 – profit taken and betting stopped on Underdog tips. TheBanker simply had an atrocious month and was -£37 on 15th when I decided to half the stakes. He struggled to recover and ended the month down -£28. Bottom line – the £56 bank at the start of the month ended as £52 at the end.

For MARCH: Historical indicators for March for both Underdog and TheBanker are good. I’m expecting good profit from both so the target is to recover to the £100 starting bank. The staking plan is to start low but ratchet up as the month progresses – depending on profits of course. Starting stakes will be £1/bet (50p eachways) for Underdog and £1 for TheBanker’s to-win tips.

View Key Dates  5Jan: In just 5 days Bank has dropped from £100 to £73 – that about 25% – time to consider reducing stakes over next couple of days.
9Jan: Underdog continues a losing streak – time to reduce stakes from 5p to 3p per point – average bet is now 60p. Thebanker will remain unchanged.
20Jan: Underdog goes from bad to worse. Thebanker following suit. Stakes reduced again. Underdog down to 30p/bet; Thebanker down to £1.25 / tip.
End-of-Month: Bad month all round with a loss of 44% of the betting bank.

And it shouldn’t have happened! Learn from my mistakes read Personal Portfolio Evolution More Profit WIth Less Effort.

For Feb’26: No changes to portfolio. Stakes reduced in line with reduced betting bank. Treating February as a recovery month to get back to £100.

Dec’25:

FOR JAN 2026:

  • Starting off where 2025 ended with Underdog Racing Tips and Thebanker.
  • Bank is reset to £100.
  • Approximately 10% of bank will be bet each day split roughly equally across these two tipsters.
  • Underdog Racing Tips: is tipping at 5 tips per day at 20pts per tip (10pt each-ways) – this makes my stakes £0.05/pt ≈ £1 / tip
  • Thebanker: is tipping at 2 tips per day at 5pts per tip – this makes my stakes £0.50/pt ≈ £2.50 / tip
  • Profit Targets set at the beginning of each month and adopting the Profit Lock approach.
