Overview of service

Analysis of tips to date shows the highest volume of tips are on football. The main betting markets are Over/under and Accumulators with a lesser number of Asian Handicaps.

Average odds are around 1.92 and mostly range between 1.70  and 2.39.

Accumulator bets, doubles and trebles, have become an increasing feature of the service and have been very profitable since day one.

Following this service is straightforward. An average day would be a couple of tips with advised stakes of 2 to 3 units.

Over half of the tips have been published between 8am and 4pm but can be anytime up to midnight and 25% of all tips have been posted over 12 hours ahead of the event.

The two big features of RugbyEyes are 1. its a free service and 2. there appears to be an opportunity to significantly improve the ROI.

PROFIT

Return On Investment

RugbyEyes has been publishing free tips for 14 months now since Apr’19.

The overall ROI and the ROI for the previous 12-, 6- and 3-month periods have produced impressive results.

Return on Capital

Following this tipster, with a recommended Betting Bank of 70 units, the Return On Capital (ROC) figure is slightly over 400% (4 times).

In other words, your original bank of 70 units would have grown to over 280 units in those 14 months.

Consistency

At Jun’20 there have been 12 winning months from 14 months of tips.

Comparing the winning months’ profit against the losing months’ losses paints a very exciting picture.

An average winning month (12 of) has made 25 units profit. Total losses for the two losing months has been less than 2 units.

COST

Value for Money

A month’s subscription to RugbyEyes currently costs £ZERO. Yes, its currently FREE! You simply can’t get better value than that.

Betting Bank

The size of the Betting Bank required to adequately follow a tipster is based on their Win Rate / Strike Rate.

RugbyEyes’s all-time average Win Rate is around 56%. This suggests a start-up Betting Bank in the region of 70 units – assuming average risk.

Staking

Advised stakes on the RugbyEyes tips have ranged between 1 and 10 units with most being 2 or 3 units.

An average of 2 tips a day means a typical outlay of 6 units on an average day.

This is a very manageable £60 of bets per day if you follow the tips at £10 per unit.

RISK

Volatility

The Coefficient of Variance figure which gauges volatility is reasonably low meaning volatility is low. You can see this reflected in the profit graph which does deviate, but not too much, from the straight line.

Skill versus Chance

This is perhaps the only real negative for this tipster.

There is only moderate evidence that the ROI being produced by RugbyEyes is not due to chance.

The statistical p-value that is used to give us this indicator is not as low as I’d like (the lower this figure is the better). At over 2% this suggests there is 1-in-50 possibility that these results could be obtained through chance alone.

Estimated Longest Losing Run

The ELLR for a Win Rate of 56% is 9 at this point as he heads towards 1,000 tips.

If the Win Rate is maintained the ELLR could rise to 10 or 11 by the time there have been 2000 bets – that would be in roughly 2 years’ time.

To be safe you should expect and should plan right now for, a run of 10 losing bets (or more) in a row.

At 3 units per bet that could equate to losing 30 units or £30 at £10/unit stakes.

Risk/Reward

The Risk/Reward figure should be as low as possible.

Ideally, you want high reward with very little risk but normally higher reward (higher ROI) comes with higher risk.

RugbyEyes’ current Risk/Reward figure is a low 0.6. It sits in a relative range of 0.25 to 4 so this is very much a positive.

EFFORT

Time commitment

Very little effort would be required to follow these tips but you may need to be on the ball to get the best odds.

To match the profits of any tipster you need to get the same odds. This means reacting to the tips fairly sharpish.

You can get RugbyEyes tips at any time during the day from 8 in the morning to midnight so this is not a “set-and-forget” service.

Boomakers Used

The top bookmakers used for these tips are Unibet, Bet365, Pinnacle and Betfair.

Apart from Pinnacle all of these are “soft” bookmakers which means if you keep winning, at some stage, your account is likely to be limited and you won’t be able to place your 10unit/£10 bet.

Avoiding getting limited is something you will need to take precautions to avoid especially if you continue to win. Spreading your betting across several different bookmakers may help. Using a betting exchange is a possible option providing you can get the odds required to keep this service profitable.

Impact of long losing runs

Looking at the ELLR more broadly, with the average being 2 bets per day, you might go 5 days without a winning bet.

This shouldn’t put too much of a strain on your commitment to keep following this tipster. And the right Betting Bank will withstand these short-lived set-backs.

CONCLUSION

ROI is good; at £0 the cost is perfect; the risk is low; and there’s not a lot of effort involved.

There seems little reason not to follow RugbyEyes even at very low stakes.

Particularly if there looks to be an opportunity to improve the ROI significantly.

Opportunity

Analysis of the tips over the full 14 months shows that the biggest number of tips (60%) are for football BUT these have only made a small loss.

On the other hand, the tips categorized as Multiples plus those for Rugby Union account for 25% (a quarter) of all tips AND have produced around 90% of the total profit made during the 14 months.

It’s the same picture for the latest 12-month and 6-month time periods –  80% or more of all profit being made by RugbyEyes has come from Multiples and Rugby Union tips.

There have been only 140 such tips which is a relatively small statistical number but betting on only these would increase the ROI to something like 35%.

It could make a lot of sense to try out following RugbyEyes’ free tips and only bet on tips for Multiples and Rugby Union with small stakes.

If he continues to be this successful he’ll get a lot of followers and you can bet the tips will stop being free.
