A while back I came across an offer of 21 of “all best Blogabet paid Tipsters … the cost for all those tipsters combined is 100€/month“.
That would barely cover the cost for 1 or 2 tipsters on Blogabet (Blogabet tipsters are expensive) so it seemed like a great deal / total scam (delete where applicable).
The invitation went on “You are getting notification with pick on Telegram in real time. They are worth much more. I’m giving you free access to a group for 6 hours, after that you decide if you want to stay”
Now, this was on a bitcoin forum so it was a bit random but it did pique my interest.
The guy promoting this gave the impression that he had an arrangement with all these tipsters to be able to provide this offer. There were however members of the forum who (shall we say) doubted his veracity.
Some of the tipsters I was already aware of but it gave me a chance to check some of the others out – well, what else was I going to do at 4 am anyway.

Comparing these “interesting” tipsters and adding in the Estimated Longest Losing Run figure it looks like IMPORTANT is the standout in this group.

His top sports for tips are Basketball (47%) as you might have guessed from his name but also almost as many Football tips (40%).
Almost 90% of the tips use Bet365 odds. This is a little warning flag because Bet365 is a soft bookmaker who will quickly limit your stakes or close your account if you start to win too much money off them.
That said there have been 2803 tips producing a profit of 2194 points/units with an overall ROI of 22%. These are good figures.
The 11% ROI for football is not to be sneezed at but basketball clearly provides the best return with an amazing 32% ROI.
Based on the basketball figures the calculated p-value is extremely low. In other words, there’s an extremely low probability that this performance is due to luck or chance.
To get the best profits from Basketball Professor it would seem logical to not bet the football tips and increase the stakes on the basketball bets.

Most of the tips (85%) are published between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. with 2 out of 3 tips between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. You should, of course, check the time difference with your part of the world to determine how this fits with your sleep/wake and work patterns. Conclusion
I suspected this offer of 21 tipsters was a scam right from the start. I was never going to pay €100 even for a bundle of 21 tipsters. But it’s surprising what you can discover when you keep an open mind and do a little digging.
It’s easy to see why Basketball Professor has over 1300 followers.
He’s been tipping since Jul’18 with an average of 130 tips each month. On average you might expect 4 or 5 tips each day – 2 football tips and 2 or 3 basketball tips.
Over half of all tips both basketball and football are In-play so you need to be able to get bets on quickly to match this level of profits.
But if you concentrated only on the basketball tips and were comfortable doing in-play betting then I would imagine 2 or 3 bets a day would be very manageable.
A 32% ROI is very enticing and certainly worth giving a go especially if the Basketball Professor tips are free.
